A Jacksonville teenage was sentenced to 40 years in prison for stabbing
a 29 year old homeless man several times, TBO is reporting. At sentencing,
defense lawyers attempted to present evidence about the Defendant, Eric
Sandefur, and his good character. However Circuit Court Judge Norton sentenced
Sandefur to the maximum, pointing out that, while his friends and family
speaking on his behalf was impressive, it was not enough to prevent her
from doing what was necessary to keep the community safe.
