On Friday, June 20th the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting not one – but two – DUI checkpoints in Hillsborough County.
Drivers in the area need to be aware that they will be stopped and checked for telltale signs of impairment, including the odor of alcohol on their breath, bloodshot/watery eyes, and slurred speech. If officers see signs of impairment drivers will be asked to submit to field sobriety exercises and/or a breath test.
HCSO will also be checking drivers for suspended licenses and/or active warrants.
If you plan to go out on Friday, June 20th make sure you plan for delays and inspection by law enforcement officers.
