On Thursday, March 29, 2012 the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is planning a DUI Checkpoint near the University of South Florida’s Tampa campus from 10 PM – 4 AM. The checkpoint will be held at Fletcher and 20th Street, and will include a Blood-Alcohol Testing unit as well as transportation to the jail for booking.
According to the HCSO website, this is the only DUI checkpoint planned for Hillsborough County in March 2012.
Drivers should also be aware of heightened DUI patrol on several days throughout the month, including March 17th – St. Patrick’s Day.
