Former NFL Star Chad Johnson’s Plea Deal Rejected – “Ocho Cinco” Sentenced to 30 Days in Jail!

Former NFL star Chad “Ocho Cinco” Johnson was sentenced to 30 days in jail today after a Broward County Judge rejected the plea deal he made with the State. The Judge’s decision came after she asked Johnson, former wide receiver, if he was satisfied with his attorney in Court. Johnson responded by slapping his attorney on the rear – something athletes commonly do after big plays. The Courtroom erupted in laughter, and the Judge became upset that Johnson, who was accused of hitting his ex wife, was not taking things seriously.

Johnson appologized to the Court but the Judge, who could have given him up to a year in jail, sentenced the six-time pro-bowl player to 30 days. The moral of the story: criminal charges are no laughing matter, and respect should be shown at all times when you are in Court.
