On Friday, September 19, 2014 HCSO will be conducting a DUI Checkpoint in Northern Hillsborough County.
Drivers must be aware that they may be stopped and checked for signs of impairment, including bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, or the odor of alcohol on their breath.
Every time HCSO conducts a DUI checkpoint, dozens of arrests are made. Many arrests are for DUI; however a handful are for charges like suspended license or having an outstanding warrant.
Drivers need to exercise caution and remember to use a designated driver at all times.
