Casey Anthony Trial Moved to Pinellas; Jury Selection Begins Today

The Court System has gone to Pinellas County to find a jury pool for Casey Anthony, the Orlando area woman accused of killing her two year old daughter. The Court moved Jury Selection to Pinellas because they felt they would be unable to find an unbiased jury in the Orlando area given the mass amounts of press coverage the case received. Anthony told the Judge today she was uninterested in a plea deal. Anthony is facing the death penalty if convicted. She is charged with first degree murder, child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child and providing false information to law enforcement officials. The jurors who are selected will likely spend two months hearing evidence in the trial and will be sequestered in an Orlando area hotel, costing tax payers upwards of $300,000.
