Police: Largo man in sex sting wanted mother-daughter tryst - Tampa Sex Crimes Lawyer / Attorney

A 74-year-old man was charged with trying to have sex with a mother and her 13-year-old daughter during an online sting, Largo police said.

William David Casey was charged with enticing a parent to consent to a sex act with their minor child and traveling to meet a minor for sex acts, police said.According to police:

A detective, using the persona of an adult mother with a 13-year-old daughter, met Casey in an online chat session and began a casual conversation with him.

Casey started talking about sex and expressed a strong desire to have sex with the mother and daughter.

Casey arranged to meet the pair Tuesday at Taylor Park in Largo to determine whether they liked one another and could have sex.

When Casey showed up, detectives arrested him.During interviews with police, Casey admitted to other sex crimes, which are decades old. Police are investigating those crimes.

In 2011 and 2012, our firm became involved in several high-profile sex-crimes cases, including a sexual battery (rape) of a minor, traveling to meet a minor, and multiple possession of child pornography charges. In one case, a Hillsborough County medical student was charged with traveling to meet a minor after police allegedly arranged a meeting between him and a child in an online sting. Our firm was able to get those felony sex charges reduced down to a misdemeanor after we raised several potential defenses to the State Attorney’s Office. The case was eventually resolved with out client receiving no conviction on any charge.

In another high-profile case, a Pasco man was charged with ten counts of possession of child pornography. He was facing up to fifty (50) years in Florida State Prison, and the offer from the State was three years in Florida State Prison. Our firm walked the client through all stages of the case and helped him obtain the treatment and therapy he needed. Eventually, he was given a probation-only sentence.

Sexual crime cases can ruin your life and carry harsh prison sentences. When facing sex crime charges, it is important that you hire an experienced attorney. Our firm has three former prosecutors on staff who have handled cases just like yours. We will use our experience to help protect your reputation and avoid a lengthy prison sentence.
