Thursday, January 19 2012 the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is planning a DUI Checkpoint at 15043 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. in Tampa, Florida. This location is between several popular bars in the area, including Peabody's and Acropolis. Drivers in the area should use discretion and remember not to drink and drive. Additionally, expect delays as HCSO will be stopping drivers and checking them for tell-tale signs of impairment, such as bloodshot, watery eyes and the distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage on the driver's breath.
