Tampa Teen Charlotte Sowards Charged with DUI Manslaughter

18 year old Charlotte Sowards has been charged with DUI Manslaughter in relation to a November 20 crash on W. Wood Street that killed another driver and injured four more people. Swords is accused of driving 50 MPH in a 25 MPH zone when she ran two stop signs and struck 31 year old Jason Plummer, who died at the scene. Sowards is also facing charged of possession of marijuana, obstruction, and DUI with personal injury or property damage.
